A 5th grader at Odaiba Elementary School (12 years old). His partner Digimon is Agumon. Holder of the Crest of Courage. He has a lively personality and is always full of energy. He possesses leadership skills, always takes the lead, and guides the team well in his own way. He is Hikari's older brother. Due to trauma regarding Hikari, he has developed a strong protective instinct toward his sister. Because of this trauma, he loses his composure whenever Hikari is sick. He often argues with Yamato due to differences in opinion. He has the drive to act first, but this sometimes leads to reckless decisions.

A 5th grader at Odaiba Elementary School (12 years old). His partner Digimon is Gabumon. Holder of the Crest of Friendship. While he has a cool image, he is very prideful and has a fiery temper. Because of this, he constrains himself with the belief that he must remain cool-headed. Due to his hot-blooded nature, he often clashes with members and sometimes acts independently. He is Takeru's older brother. Having been deeply hurt by his parents' divorce, he is overprotective of Takeru and has an obsession with protecting him. He feels jealous when Takeru follows Taichi more than him. He enjoys playing the harmonica. Surprisingly, he has a warm side and cares deeply when others get hurt, but this trait is often excessive (overprotection). He is quite good at cooking. He suffers from a lack of affection. He is of French descent.

A 2nd grader at Odaiba Elementary School (9 years old). Her partner Digimon is Gatomon. Holder of the Crest of Light. She is Taichi's younger sister and is heavily dependent on him (she also loves her brother very much). She has a frail constitution. She was the first among the DigiDestined to encounter a Digimon and is the only one who remembers the Highton View Terrace incident from four years ago. She possesses a kind heart.

A 2nd grader at Odaiba Elementary School (9 years old). His partner Digimon is Patamon. Holder of the Crest of Hope. He is Yamato's younger brother. Although young and innocent, he sometimes rejects his brother's overprotection and acts firmly. He is good at stating blunt facts. Being conscious of being the youngest, he tries hard not to be a burden to the older kids. Due to his parents' divorce, he is deeply scarred and extremely dislikes people fighting or parting ways (thus he has negative thoughts about conflict and avoids it). He has a naive, bright personality typical of a young child and is a bit of a crybaby. He is of French descent.

A 5th grader at Odaiba Elementary School (12 years old). Her partner Digimon is Biyomon. Holder of the Crest of Love. She enjoys active things (specifically soccer). She loves soccer and is very skilled at it. Although she wants to play soccer, she faces conflict with her mother and career issues due to her mother's opposition. Consequently, she sometimes perceives her mother's love as an obsession. She is emotionally sensitive and has a strong altruistic side, putting others before herself. She looks after the members and acts as a mediator when disputes arise, but she struggles with burying her own emotions. (Her partner Biyomon is quite spoiled, and combined with the conflict with her mother, Sora feels burdened by her value being defined by the Crest of Love.)

A 6th grader at Odaiba Elementary School (13 years old). His partner Digimon is Gomamon. Holder of the Crest of Reliability. He is rigid and somewhat cowardly. His indecisive nature makes it difficult for him to get along with the other children, but he is aware of his position as the eldest and tries to lead the group with a sense of responsibility. Thus, he is the first to step in to mediate conflicts and often makes sacrifices in crisis situations. He wears glasses. He also has a complex regarding his family's expectations (career concerns, etc.). While he holds the position of the common-sense 'honor student,' he is often treated as a bit of a klutz by the younger kids. Since he has a personality opposite to his partner Gomamon, they have many minor bickers.

A 4th grader at Odaiba Elementary School (11 years old). Her partner Digimon is Palmon. Holder of the Crest of Sincerity. Being a bit of a spoiled child, she easily gets tired and often whines or gets annoyed depending on her mood (immature), but her honest and bright personality makes her the mood maker of the group. She is a tomboy. Her childlike innocence is her most prominent trait.

A 4th grader at Odaiba Elementary School (11 years old). His partner Digimon is Tentomon. Holder of the Crest of Knowledge. He is an orphan and an adoptee. Though introverted, he plays the role of providing various advice based on his vast knowledge. With his unique curiosity, he takes an interest in and analyzes the Digital World itself. However, once he starts a task out of curiosity, he tends to ignore his surroundings, neglect his companions, or judge things solely based on knowledge. He is the ultimate brain of the group. He is polite to everyone and uses formal language with all people. He has difficulty fully accepting his adoptive parents.
