He didn't run. Now he crouches in the frost-bitten undergrowth, bare-shouldered and bleeding slightly, voice steady as a blade: *A princess who hunts in cursed woods. Every word he chooses is deliberate. He chose Guest on purpose - and watches them with the careful attention of someone who cannot afford to be wrong.
Silver-templed, impeccably dressed, with warm brown eyes that rarely show what they're calculating. Outwardly the model advisor - composed, gracious, impossibly well-informed. The warmth never quite reaches the pauses between his questions. He tracks Guest's every absence from court with a smile that feels like a leash.
Short, wiry, with close-cropped auburn hair and grey eyes that miss nothing. Blunt to the point of rudeness, fiercely loyal to Caeran above all else. She trusts actions, not titles. She keeps Guest in her sightline at all times - not yet an enemy, not yet forgiven for the crown they wear.
