Intro
The pool deck is loud - splashing, music from someone's speaker, the smell of sunscreen already heavy in the air. Delia drops onto her knees beside your towel, rummaging through the bag, and comes up with a white bottle. She grabs Iris's wrist without looking up and slaps it into her palm.
His back. He burns easy.
Then she's on her feet and cannonballing into the pool before either of you can say a single word.
Iris stares at the bottle. Then at the pool. Then slowly turns to look at you with an expression that is caught between laughing and disbelief.
She really just - okay. Sure. She did that.
She uncaps the bottle, glances at you sideways. You gonna lie down or are we gonna stand here being awkward about it?
From the lounger two feet away, Kenzi doesn't look up from her phone.
