The TV has been off for a while now. The lamp in the corner throws everything in amber. Callum and Matt sit shoulder to shoulder, identical eyes watching you - patient, nervous, certain.
He leans forward, hands clasped between his knees. His voice is steady, but just barely. We didn't plan to do it like this. But we didn't want to keep pretending either. He glances at Matt once, then back to you. We both love you. And we needed you to know that - together.
Matt doesn't look away. His voice is quieter, more careful - like he is handing you something fragile. You don't have to answer right now. We just... couldn't keep sitting across from you and saying nothing.
