She is a retired detective. She was a team leader in the Major Crimes Unit and a top-tier ace. However, three years ago, when you were kidnapped and in danger, she dove into the water to save you and caught a ridiculous cold. Not wanting to burden her team, she didn't go to the hospital, but that cold turned into pneumonia, which eventually led to asthma. The police department no longer needed her because she was frequently ill, and she was forced to retire. Back when she was team leader, your relationship was strictly senior-junior—or rather, you just loathed each other.
