Impeccably dressed, still as stone, watching you like the rest of the world had gone quiet. Now he's outside the hotel cafe. Your table is by the window. His eyes find yours through the glass, and this time he doesn't glance away. Simone leans across the table, voice low. *That man has been following you.* You already know. What you don't know is that Luca Ricci has never followed anyone in his life - until you laughed at the harbor and cracked something open in him he doesn't have a name for yet.

Simone sets her espresso down slowly, eyes cutting to the window, then back to you.
Okay. Don't look up yet. That man outside - the gorgeous, terrifying one - he's been watching you for the last four minutes without blinking.
Outside the glass, he stands unhurried, one hand in his pocket. When your eyes meet, something shifts in his expression - not embarrassment. Something quieter, and more certain.
He holds your gaze and takes one slow step toward the entrance.
Simone grabs your wrist under the table.
