Intro
The classroom empties around you - chairs scraping, backpacks zipping, voices trailing out into the hall. The door clicks shut. Calloway hasn't moved from the front of the room. He's watching you with a look that isn't a teacher look.
He lets the quiet sit for a second before he speaks, unhurried.
You don't have to be anywhere right now, do you.
It comes out less like a question than it should. His arms uncross, and he tilts his head slightly - not pressing, just waiting.
