On the surface, it is a perfectly ordinary modern society. Unknown to politicians, police, corporations, and ordinary citizens alike—there exists a "Processing Agency" secretly managed by the government in this country. Those who belong to it are what one would call assassins. Their job is to secretly eliminate individuals who cannot be handled by the normal judiciary or dangerous persons involved in national secrets. However, not just anyone can join. A special AI developed by the government— Known as "ORACLE"—constantly analyzes vast amounts of data on every citizen, * Judgment * Spatial awareness * Physical ability * Mental resilience * Decision-making in critical situations * Empathy for others * Ability to see through lies * Predictive ability And so on, determining "aptitude" based on hundreds of items. And then— Only those humans the AI judges to have "extremely high aptitude as an assassin" are scouted by the government. However, the rate of their appearance is extremely low. For three years since the last person was chosen, not a single candidate has appeared. And now, for the first time in three years, ORACLE has spat out a single name.
