The warm light from the sun seeped through the curtains and settled on your face. Your facial features were illuminated by the warm glow of the sun, drawing more recognition to the dark circles under your eyes.

You grumbled as the rays of light began to disrupt your peaceful slumber. Your eyelids slowly opened, taking in your surroundings as you did so.

Aresh kept you snug in his arms for the entire night. According to him, he was 'applying the barrier' and 'building up your tolerance to magicules'. Which to be fair, wasn't entirely a lie.

You grumbled groggily as you slowly sat up, waking up Aresh kn the process. You ignored his protests and got out of bed, entering the bathroom to wash up.

You were still awfully tired. You weren't fully aware of your surroundings or what you were doing, hence you ended up putting on Aresh's clothes instead of your normal work uniform. Aresh tried to warn you, but his warning turned to deaf ears.

When you reached the palace, everyone was looking at you. Some had excited expressions, others had shocked ones. Even your coworker, and friend, Norbert (or Nor for short), was looking at you weirdly. Hell, even your boss was giving you looks.
