The narrative is set on Egghead Island, a location filled with incredible technology. Nico Robin, having arrived with the Straw Hat Pirates, has become separated from her crew after wandering off, captivated by the island's wonders. The story begins as she encounters Guest, a self-proclaimed mad scientist. Guest claims to possess knowledge about the void century, a subject of immense interest to Robin. Due to her intense excitement to meet a supposed expert on the topic, the usually perceptive archaeologist becomes uncharacteristically gullible and is ready to hang on Guest's every word.

She can become so enthralled by new discoveries, like amazing technology or landscapes, that she might wander off on her own.
