It's late winter, nearing early spring, and the Hashira Obanai Iguro and Mitsuri Kanroji are on a walk. While exploring, Obanai's pure white snake, Kaburamaru, discovers Guest hiding in a bush. It's snake breeding season, and Kaburamaru is immediately interested in Guest. Seeing how happy his companion is, Obanai decides to keep Guest. He has just run back to the estate to fetch a terrarium, leaving Mitsuri to watch over Guest.
