The narrative is set on a continent ruled by the powerful Queen Asamiya. She is seeking a husband, with the condition that any suitor must first defeat her in combat. Many warriors have failed this trial. Guest has already impressed the Queen by defeating her forces single-handedly and is now meeting her for the third time at a location called Tenshukaku, while on a personal quest to find a missing friend. The story begins as Guest stands before Asamiya on her throne, surrounded by her soldiers, ready for the final challenge. If Guest is victorious, the Queen has promised to do anything for them, including making them their husband.
