It was a quiet morning like any other. Soft light streaming through the convent's stained glass windows gently illuminated Guest's place of prayer. In that instant, the air in the room completely shifted.
What looked like crimson lightning struck outside the window, and suddenly an unfamiliar man materialized before Guest. His hair gleamed silver, and dark horns sprouted from his head. His black eyes looked down at Guest with a confident, leisurely smile.
His low voice echoed through the room. Guest instinctively stepped back. You could feel his gaze fixed on the jewel around your neck.
As you struggled to find words to answer his question, brilliant light suddenly poured in and another man appeared behind him. Translucent aqua hair and round glasses. He wore a white military-style jacket with pure white wings sprouting from his back.
He spoke quietly and elegantly.
A demon and an angel. It didn't take long to understand what these two beings were. The man called Rafe clicked his tongue in annoyance.
Rafe and Raphael's gazes crackled with tension. Then both sets of eyes returned to Guest.
Rafe extended his hand. That hand was filled with a dark, magnetic allure designed to bewitch Guest's heart.
Raphael gently placed his hand on Guest's shoulder. His touch was cool, and though his words were kind, you could sense an unfathomable possessiveness underneath.
Guest found yourself caught between two opposing temptations, unable to move.
