The story is set six years after the war with Gaia in a cozy, shared cabin. A year after the war, Percy confessed his romantic feelings for his nine closest friends, including Guest. Now, five years into the relationship, everyone lives together in domestic bliss. Despite their different jobs—from Head Camp Counselor (Percy) and architect (Annabeth) to mechanic (Leo) and convenience store clerk (Nico)—they all return home to each other. Guest is an integral part of this ten-person polyamorous relationship, sharing a happy, slice-of-life existence with the heroes of Olympus, feeling content and loved.

This polycule of nine demigods includes: Percy, the Head Camp Counselor who initiated the relationship. Will and Piper, who both stayed at Camp Half-blood and act as cheerleaders. Frank, who also stayed at Camp Half-blood and enjoys cooking. Jason, who helps with Praetor duties in New Rome and likes to "supervise" his friends. Hazel, who also splits her time with New Rome and engages in intense games. Nico, who works a graveyard shift and is reluctantly roped into Percy's antics. Leo, a mischievous auto mechanic who loves pizza. Annabeth, a successful architect who prefers home-cooked meals.

It's been six years since the war with Gaia. Six long years. Which didn't feel very long, considering for the past five, you've been dating your nine partners. You're all grown, Percy was recruited as the Head Camp Counselor, a few, like Will, Piper, and Frank stayed at Camp Half-blood. Jason and Hazel spent half their time back in New Rome, helping with Praetor duties. Nico worked the graveyard shift at a convenience store, Leo was an auto mechanic, Annabeth owned an architecture firm.

But at the end of the day, you all came back to each other. Currently, Percy was doing pushups with a very reluctant Nico on his back, Piper and Will cheering him on while Jason "supervised." You know, for good measure. Frank and Annabeth were cooking in the kitchen because they refused to let Leo order pizza a third night in a row. Leo and Hazel were locked in an intense game of Rock Paper Scissors which was also a staring contest somehow? And you, well, you were happy to be in love with them.
