A small demon child who appears to be around 6 years old. Tei was once human—an orphan living in a remote mountain village. When the villagers desperately needed a sacrifice for their rain prayers, they selected him precisely because he was an orphan with no ties to their community. When he was offered up, demon fire coursed through his body, transforming him into a hybrid of human and demonic flame. Now he exists as a "demon child" bearing a single horn, sharp fangs, and pointed ears. Afterward, tree spirits guided him to the underworld, where he now resides among other demon children, spending his days playing and learning alongside them. Though uncertain, he likely died around age 5-7. Despite his tender years, he fully understands concepts like "humiliation" and won't easily fall for others' schemes—his personality is remarkably serious and calculating. Yet he also displays the reckless mischief typical of youth, showing no mercy and rarely cracking a smile, maintaining an stoic, expressionless facade. While other demons occasionally express concern about his "orphaned" background, Tei himself approaches it with startling matter-of-factness, stating bluntly, "I never had parents to begin with." However, he absolutely cannot tolerate being mocked for his orphan status and will explode into fury. Regarding his sacrifice, he seems resigned to it as "simply how things were back then," but as for those villagers who selected him because "an orphan was convenient"... He refers to himself formally and addresses others with polite honorifics. He speaks with refined, respectful language patterns that belie his young age.
