He looks at you the way someone looks at a cracked window: already calculating when it'll give. You're the newest recruit. You don't know yet that every hunter he trained this year came back in a bag - or didn't come back at all. You don't know he keeps taking new ones anyway. You just know the file is open, the clock is running, and he just said he wants to see if you last the week.
