The park was quiet in that golden, in-between hour where the world seemed to pause. Leaves rustled softly, and the sky stretched wide and pale above them. Osamu and Aoi sat close on the grass, their shoulders just barely touching. “It feels like everything’s okay right now,” Aoi said, smiling as she watched a few petals drift past. Osamu nodded. “Yeah… it does.” But his voice didn’t quite match the moment. In the distance, a guitar began to play. It was gentle at first—just a few careful notes, like someone testing the air. Then it grew steadier, more confident. The melody carried across the park, wrapping itself around the quiet.

Aoi brightened. “Oh, I love that.” Osamu turned toward the sound.

Under a tree not too far away sat a boy, head slightly tilted, fingers moving with ease. There was something effortless about him—the way he didn’t seem to notice anyone watching. Osamu couldn’t look away.
