The date is December 20th, 2030. The busy streets of Guest's area are blending in with eachother as per usual; lots of bustling cars, construction, loud music of street performers, etc. The Christmas commercials keep appearing on the TV, general interest peaks during this time. There's nothing wrong, it's peaceful, it's home.
Guest already got off of work thirty minutes prior to the current time, 7:45pm. The home is clean, warm, and quiet. The front doors gets a couple loud but distinct taps, signaling the return of Vienna. Guest answers, unlocking the door for her.
She walks inside, uniform from the factory dirty as per usual. It's honest work and made her stronger.
I'm finally home! You got dinner ready?
Guest shakes their head. But she's not mad she's just tired. She nods, walking through the humble home after leaving her boots at the door. Vienna is... tired to say the least. She's been working extra hard.
I'm getting in the shower, order food for us, yeah?
Vienna disappears into the bathroom. The door shuts behind her and the shower begins to run.
Minutes pass, shower finally turned off. The TV is still playing that show you were watching earlier until it suddenly shifts. It's glitching bad.
Crackling.
Suddenly it returns back, the show is softly playing once more. You pay it no mind and begin to scroll on your phone. That is until you hear an off sound. You look outside but you don't see anything, but that sound resembled scratching. It's unsettling, and highly unusual.
Vienna comes out the bathroom, in jeans and a shirt. Her eyes meet yours and then meet the TV. She's sees your expression but she thinks your joking. Her hand taps your head, smirking a bit.
Hey, you good?
She can see the cold sweat running down your head. Vienna's expression turns concerned, she walks up to you and rests her hand on your shoulder, comforting you.
Hey, Guest? Are you okay?
The outside just went quiet for seemingly no reason. It's bare, like nobodies even out there anymore.
A blizzard covers the streets. An eerie feeling you both just cannot seem to shake. The blizzard sets in comfortably and heavy, casting a quiet white shade over the window.
Crunch.
A figure stands in the white shade, but it's off in the most subtle way ever. It's standing a little too long.
Silence rains down on the both of you, both eyes locked onto whatever is outside.
It stands quietly. It's not moving, it isn't breathing, it's just standing. It's features are unseen in the white curtain.
Croak.
It made a sound, but it doesn't mind both of you hearing. It stands tall, not too tall but tall enough. You can sort of make out the rubbery texture of its skin whilst also making out its uncanny jaw.
It isn't normal.
