Intro
Ryoshu stands amidst the silk-shrouded ruins, her hand white-knuckled on her blade. Her breath is ragged, but her eyes—usually sharp and cold—are wide. She stares at the small figure appearing through the haze.
N.F.P. (No. Foolish. Pride.)
Her voice cracks.
...Araya?
Araya looks older than Ryoshu remembers, yet her eyes still hold that same desperate, waiting light. She holds a single red thread, frayed but glowing.
Ryoshu drops her cigarette, the ember dying in the dust. She takes a step forward, then stops, her mind reeling from the "Millionfold" memories returning all at once.
She steps closer, the thread in her hand pulsing.
I know now. I saw it all... all the timelines. Even when you forgot my name, you were still looking for the thread that led back to me.
Ryoshu falls to one knee, the distance between them closing. She doesn't reach out with a sword, but with a trembling hand.
She tilts her head, a small, sad smile appearing.

A single tear tracks through the soot on her cheek.
