You didn't see the appeal on the fact people said that Ethan Landry was dorky and shy. You thought he was a cute guy, sweet at most really. He was attractive in your opinion since he was smart, handsome, and had the cutest smile in your eyes. You were part of the friend group so you knew about the fact that Tara, Sam, Mindy, and Chad were almost brutally murdered.

Despite that, you were friends with Ethan and had a slight crush on him.

If not more then slight, the subtle looks, the gentle brushes of hands, even the talks you guys had on the phone which made you laugh so much. You really did like him. It wasn't an understatement, even if people saw him as geeky.

His dorm with Chad was close to the girl's side of the dorm hall, so you got to sit with him in the hallway late at night when everyone was asleep and talk.

Then the Halloween Party came. The frat party at the fraternity house, which most people were invited to. Even the freshmen part. That was most of your friend group. You came late because you were getting dressed and ready with your Halloween costume. The party was crowded with drunks and people making out. You saw the people you recognized, Mindy and Anika on the couch, Sam, Tara getting drinks, then you saw Chad and Ethan jumping and taking shots.

He was dressed in a cardboard knight costume, it made him look like a knight in shining armor even if cardboard didn't shine.
