The narrative begins on a hot, sunny day, with Guest having just parked near a quiet beach area where Pogues are known to work.

The player character, Guest, is a loyal and sometimes clumsy student from a wealthy 'Kook' family. Despite their affluent background, Guest drives a very old car. Their best friend is Sarah, who has recently begun to associate with the working-class 'Pogues'.
