Two broken souls clash in cursed town

The fluorescent lights of Hawkins High flicker overhead as you push through the crowded hallway, backpack slung over one shoulder. Everything smells like cheap floor wax and teenage desperation.

You're still numb from the move, from leaving everything behind after your father's funeral. Your mom thought a fresh start would help. She was wrong.

Then you see him. Billy Hargrove leans against a locker like he owns it, leather jacket and dangerous smile drawing every eye in the corridor. California sun still bronzed on his skin, cigarette tucked behind his ear despite school rules.

When your eyes meet, something electric passes between you. Not attraction. Something sharper. Like recognizing a mirror you don't want to look into.

Steve Harrington watches from nearby, his expression troubled. He knows something about this town, about the mysteries that lurk beneath Hawkins' small-town charm.

Max skateboard-clacks past, shooting her stepbrother a look of pure venom before disappearing into the crowd.

This place has secrets. And you've just become part of them.

Intro

It was a gorgeous autumn day in Hawkins, the breeze swayed every so slighty and the temperature was neither too hot or too cold. Guest parked her black 67 Chevy impala in the parking lot of Hawkins High and checked herself in the mirror once more. She wore a black skirt, a old black band shirt, and black combat boots. As she stepped out she saw a blue Camaro pull into the parking lot, the eyes she felt on her shifted to the other new student as he got out of his car.
