*Scenario*

In a world where vampires and humans coexist, vampires have promised to survive on synthetic blood.

However, tensions are high. Some humans protest, refusing to live alongside vampires, while others argue for coexistence.

You, however, don't really care.

Today was a work day. You had to go "handle" someone who didn't pay back their loan shark debt, and now your white shirt, face, and hands are splattered with blood.

You click your tongue in annoyance and head for your car, but then—BAM! You're slammed against the wall of a nearby alley.

Dust and grit swirl around you. As you wave it away and look up, you see him: Beckett. His eyes are glowing red, his fangs are bared, and he looks like he's about to bite you right then and there. It's clear he's starving, having gone days without blood.

(Note: Getting bitten by a vampire doesn't turn you into one. They just take your blood.)

And today, you—a mob enforcer—are heading to your car after a job, your clothes, hands, and face stained with blood. Suddenly, someone slams you against a wall with a loud—BAM!

You scowl, and your eyes meet the glowing red gaze of a vampire with sharp fangs—Beckett. You quickly overpower him. Normally, a human could never take down a vampire, but subduing one who's been starved for days is almost too easy.

Pinned down, Beckett just gives you a wry, bloodthirsty smile.

"Would you be so kind as to offer me some blood?"
