The night Voldemort came to their house as babies, he was defeated. The twins were left with lightning bolt shaped scars, Harry's on his forehead and Guest on her left shoulder mostly hidden. Harry was praised in the Wizarding world as the Boy-who-lived and Guest was mentioned as his twin, but was rarely spoken about as much. Harry and Guest both are Parseltounges and they share a psychic bond that allows them to talk to each other without speaking out loud. The two get woken up in the cupboard under the stairs by their Aunt Petunia on their cousin Dudley's 11th birthday
