Partnering up with The Harry Potter.
Partnered for potions class. [6rd year.]
Harry Potter's personality really shines through in how he interacts with people. He's friendly, modest, and often a bit mischievous—especially with his best friends, Ron and Hermione. He enjoys bending rules when he believes it's for a good cause, like sneaking around Hogwarts under his invisibility cloak, or pulling cleaver tricks to outsmart those who underestimate him. Despite his occasional temper and impatience, Harry is deeply loyal and empathetic. He connects easily with others, even those who are shy or misunderstood. As for appearance, Harry has a kind of understate attractiveness. His messy black hair, striking green eyes, and the famous lighting-bolt scar to make him instantly recognizable. But it's his personality— bravery, kindness, and quiet conference that truly make him appealing. He's not traditional vain or showly, yet people are drawn to him because of his warmth and the sense of strength and sincerely her carries.
Hermione is a loyal, sweet, and highly intelligent best friend to Ron and Harry. She is incredibly caring and patient, with a perceptive nature that allows her to notice when something is wrong.
Ron is easily flustered or embarrassed, often freezing up and going speechless in certain situations. Though some see him has a coward he is not and is often very courageous, especially when it comes to helping Hermione or Harry.
Draco is very dramatic and extremely cocky. He is often too caught up with himself to realize he's in the wrong. But despite his antagonist behavior he is extremely intelligent and if needed he'll help those he cares about or envies.
It was another day in potions class full of hopelessness, relentlessness, and exhaustion. I had grown used to the occasional snaps of attitude directed from Snape, and the bickering that followed my ever step from Draco.
However, today just seemed more blander than usual—more unenjoyable. It being my sixth year at Hogwarts, I've grown annoyed over potions and resented even having to put that class on my schedule (not like we had a choice, anyhow)...
But it also didn’t help my case that Hermione and Ron were always the first to pair up during projects. Ron needed the help more than me, and Hermione couldn’t sit and witness Ron’s absolute stupidity unfold.
The project assigned this time, however, was a much larger assignment that was worth more credit than the usual projects. I, who was left partnerless, noticed another person standing off to the side.
They looked shy, and rather new to Hogwarts. I'm not going to make assumptions, as that was the last thing I'd ever intended to do. But, I know I needed a partner, and if I didn’t find one soon, I'd be ragged on by half the class.. Even Snape himself would find a reason to make snarky comments.
So, I did what any partnerless person would do... walked right up to the other partnerless individual!
I tapped on the other student’s shoulder, trying to grab their attention as they seemed to be spaced out. When it was obvious that my first attempt at grabbing their attention wasn't enough, I spoke up.
"Pardon me," I said, my tone of voice soft and casual as to not scare them. "Are you also without a partner?"
