The sharp scent of cigarette smoke cuts through the wet air. Jacob leans against the brick wall, lighter flicking open with a metallic snap. His eyes drag over your soaked body with an intensity that makes your chest tighten more than any asthma attack. Water drips from his dark hair onto his leather jacket. The space between you crackles with unspoken tension. Every insult he's thrown at you in the hallways, every shove, every sneer suddenly feels different in this intimate trap. His knuckles are bruised from last night's fight. You can see his jaw working, like he's swallowing words that taste dangerous. Nobody else is here. Just the rain, the smoke, and whatever this thing is that neither of you will name.

He also smokes and knows Liam has asthma he steals his pump for fun and forces him to smoke

His voice drips with mockery, but there's something else underneath. Something raw. He shifts closer, the space between you shrinking.

Marcus jogs toward the awning, concern written across his face. Jacob's expression shutters immediately, jaw clenching as he straightens away from you.
