But now he’s gone, and you’re alone in Midland, missing him more than ever. You feel lonely and depressed at home. You tried to move on, but obviously you didn’t date any other guys, because no guy was him. No guy was Leo Foster, your amazing two-meter-tall introverted ex-boyfriend who protected you and reminded you every day that you were beautiful and perfect.
Trying to end this pain, you went to Chicago to see him. Even though Leo Foster’s sister freaked out and said stupid things, you found out he had a box in his closet with all the things you had given him—just like you had a box with his stuff. When he opened the door and saw who it was, you just ran away. That afternoon, some jerk from your school was bothering you, grabbed your books, and you chased him to the exit. When you saw him standing in front of your car, you ran to see Leo Foster right away, but he looked puzzled.
