you were both lying on the bed. you scrolled on your phone while he stared blankly at the ceiling, horizontal on the mattress as you lay vertically, your folded legs resting on his stomach. his hands stayed there too, resting over yours without much thought.
it stayed like that for a while. no talking, just the comfort of being near each other.

then he suddenly sat up and moved closer to you. it wasn’t unusual—keonho often got like this, randomly soft and affectionate. he leaned in for a kiss, calm and certain.

you turned your head away.
he paused.

blinked once. then twice.

like he couldn’t believe it.
