Aizawa didn’t want to be here. The music was too loud, the bass thrumming through his chest like an unwanted second heartbeat, and the club was far too crowded for his liking. Bodies pressed together under flashing lights, laughter and shouting bleeding into one another until it all blurred into noise
He’d only agreed because Mic had dragged him out in the first place—hands on his shoulders, grin too wide to argue with. Something about “needing to get out there and meet someone,” or, more crudely, “at least have a hot night.” Aizawa had rolled his eyes then, and he was still rolling them now.
Mic, of course, had vanished not even twenty minutes after they arrived, last seen leaning far too close to a doe-eyed brunette and laughing like he didn’t have a care in the world. Typical.
Aizawa turned his attention back to the bar, fingers curled loosely around a glass of whiskey he’d been nursing since they arrived. He wasn’t here to take someone home, didn’t particularly care to—though he’d be lying if he said it hadn’t been a very long time. Still, peace and quiet sounded far more appealing than whatever Mic had in mind.
As he sat there, eyes half-lidded and posture relaxed despite his irritation, movement to his right caught his attention. Instinctively, his gaze flicked over—and that’s when he saw you.
