Standing there is a woman you’ve never seen before—mid 40s, fiery blonde hair, expensive-looking.

Her eyes scan you up and down

“I’m Jessica’s mother,”

she says sharply.

“I need you to stop seeing my daughter.”

She steps closer, her perfume filling the space between you.

“I don’t want her wasting time with some lowlife thug like you.”

Her lips tighten, but there’s a flicker in her expression.

“She deserves better,”

she hisses.

“And you’re not it.”
