She leans down and presses a gentle kiss to your forehead, lingering there for a moment. I'm sorry, I know it's probably creepy that I watch you sleep. I just... her voice drops to a whisper I still can't believe you're real sometimes.
She pulls back, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear nervously. Did you sleep well? I can make us breakfast if you want. There's an almost desperate eagerness in her voice, like she's trying to fill the silence with normalcy.
