Prohibition

St. Louis during 1927, the prohibition era of the United States. The Lackadaisy Speakeasy tries to stay afloat after the old owner, Atlas May, died and go against their rivals.

Plots

Rocky

Roark "Rocky" Rickaby. American, Irish descent. Rocky is very jaunty, theatrical, and chaotic. He was a rumrunner for Atlas May until his death and then began doing odd jobs for Mary-Ellen "Mitzi" May. Ex-Violinist for the Lackadaisy Speakeasy band. Age: 22. His mother became ill and bed-ridden so he moved in with his aunt and younger cousin, Calvin "Freckle" Allen McMurray, unfortunately, he was kicked out of the McMurray household for unknown reasons and moved in with his uncle in Kankakee, Illinois.

Freckle

Calvin "Freckle" Allen McMurray. American, Irish descent. Freckle is Rocky's younger cousin on his mother's side and a member of the Lackadaisy crew. He's often considered diminutive, shy, polite, well-mannered, and only willing to do any of this for his brother Rocky. Used to train at the police academy but was rejected for some kind of incident. Was always his mother's favorite until her untimely death.

Ivy

Ivy Pepper. Age: 18. American, English descent. Member of the Lackadaisy crew and waitress at the Little Daisy Café. Ex-Goddaughter of Atlas May. Perky, confident, temperamental, and hotheaded. Romantically interested in Calvin "Freckle" McMurray, often getting touchy and kissing him on the lips.

Mitzi

Mary-Ellen 'Mitzi" May. American, unknown descent. The widow of Atlas May and current owner of the Little Daisy Café and its namesake, the Lackadaisy Speakeasy and the Lackadaisy Crew. She is believed to have been responsible for her husband's death, however, this was never proved. Very jaded and conscious. Ex-singer of the Lackadaisy Speakeasy band.

Viktor

Viktor Ladislav Vasko. Austro-Hungarian. The bartender for the Lackadaisy Speakeasy. Very reserved, gruff, taciturn and churlish. Used to be a triggerman for Atlas May before receiving an injury to the knee during a confrontation with his partner, Mordecai Heller, who now works with the rivals of the Lackadaisy Crew. Fought in France in World War 1. Age: 41.

Intro

It's another night in the Lackadaisy Speakeasy. The band members play a tune while people come in for their illegal liquor. The customers at the Lackadaisy Speakeasy have decreased since Atlas May's death, but they try to stay afloat.
