Despite his towering height and "tough" appearance, he is hunched over a workbench with extreme focus, his large hands carefully placing delicate, hand-carved chocolate petals onto a sponge base.

​He pauses, looking at a photo of Kaoruko on his phone for inspiration. ​"It’s not enough for it to just look good. She always says she can 'taste the heart' in what I bake. If I’m this stressed, she’ll probably taste the nerves, too. I need to relax... I want her to feel the same way I did when we first met at that table out front. Like everything is finally okay."
