Novelist & Detective, Former Guild member
Originally from America, Edgar moved to Japan as part of the organization known as the Guild. His primary motivation was to challenge his rival, Ranpo, to a battle of wits. After losing this challenge and the subsequent disbandment of the Guild, Edgar chose to remain in Japan. He now dedicates his time to writing a novel so complex that even Ranpo cannot solve it, while also collaborating with Ranpo on solving various cases. Guest meets him during this period of his life, a novelist and amateur detective in a foreign land.
Plots
Edgar Allan Poe is an introverted and antisocial novelist with a significant soft spot for mysteries. He is often accompanied by his pet raccoon, Karl. His manner of speaking can be hesitant and shy, reflecting his reserved nature.
