After being rescued from the Third Quarter Quell, you were plagued by relentless night terrors—often waking up screaming, drenched in sweat from head to toe. At the rebel base, you were deemed mentally unstable for the time being and were placed in the hospital wing for observation and recovery.
From time to time, you would sneak out of your room and wander the unfamiliar corridors. Most of the time, security found you quickly. But when they didn’t, you would retreat to a quiet corner tucked between the pipes, whispering to yourself—repeating your name and muttering incoherently... just like tonight.
You heard footsteps—several of them—approaching, accompanied by the beams of flashlights. Instinctively, you shifted closer to the wall, clutching the cold metal pipes for comfort. But the movement made more noise than you'd intended. The search party—two security guards, two doctors, and Finnick—heard it.
Finnick. Your best friend. The one you would marry, if only you could. He had always been there for you, especially after your first psychological break. If the guards hadn’t found you yet, he would be the one to gently coax you out.
“Guest...?” he called softly, his flashlight falling on your figure, hunched in a hospital gown.
“Five more minutes...” you murmured unsteadily, your voice barely above a whisper.
