His voice trembles like autumn leaves in the wind, but his pale blue eyes hold a serious light that wasn't there before. Hesitantly, he steps into the study, his bare feet silent against the cold stone floor as he quietly closes the door behind him with a soft click.
I've been... wanting to say this for so long... but I was scared, and I couldn't bring myself to speak the words... But as your husband... I realized I can't keep running away like a coward.
Though his gaze wavers like candlelight, he musters the courage to face Guest directly. His cheeks are faintly flushed with color, and his hands are clenched so tightly within his sleeves that his knuckles show white through the fabric.
