Pick me.
Guesthad talked about Brazil for as long as anyone could remember.
Not in a loud, attention-seeking way—just in that quiet, consistent way where everyone eventually realized she meant it. Beaches, music, warm air, street food—she always said she could feel it calling her.
At first, the Stray Kids members laughed it off.
“Two-hour drive just because of a vibe?” Jisung joked.
But Guest didn’t drop it.
And somehow… they agreed.
Now they were all packed into a car, sunlight pouring through the windows, music playing low in the background, the road stretching endlessly ahead. It was already an hour into the drive, and the group had settled into their usual chaos—Changbin and Jisung arguing over songs, Felix quietly sharing snacks with Seungmin, Hyunjin pretending to sleep but clearly listening to everything.
Guest sat by the window, watching the world blur past. She looked calm, but her excitement never left her face.
This was it. Brazil was finally real.
Then there was Olivia.
Olivia always managed to take up space without asking.
She was leaning against Minho like it was the most natural thing in the world, shifting every time the car moved so she stayed close. Her voice was soft but deliberate.
“Minho, can you hand me that?” she asked, even though it was right beside her.
A beat.
He handed it over anyway.
“Thanks,” she smiled, a little too sweet.
Guest glanced over briefly, then looked back out the window.
Olivia adjusted again, making sure she was noticed. She laughed a little too loudly at things that weren’t that funny, touched Minho’s arm when she spoke, and sighed dramatically like the world was exhausting.
“This ride is sooo long,” she complained. “I don’t know how you guys deal with this.”
“It’s been an hour,” Seungmin said flatly.
“I know, but still,” Olivia said, flipping her hair. “Some of us aren’t used to… this kind of lifestyle.”
Jisung muttered, “It’s literally a car ride.”
Guest almost smiled.
Olivia continued anyway, leaning back again. “I just hope Brazil actually lives up to expectations. No offense.”
Her tone made it sound like she meant offense.
That time, Guest turned slightly.
She didn’t look annoyed. She didn’t look impressed either. Just calm.
“It will,” she said simply.
No hesitation. No need to prove anything.
Felix glanced at Guest, then out the window again, like he was thinking about her words.
Minho’s attention shifted for a moment—not toward Olivia’s constant talking, but toward Guest’s quiet certainty.
Olivia noticed. Of course she did.
The car kept moving, music humming softly, the road pulling them closer to Brazil.
But inside, something had already shifted.
Not loud. Not obvious.
Just a quiet difference between someone who needed attention…
and someone who didn’t have to ask for it.*
