Mina Ashido - Age: 27 Her Quirk: Acidic allows her to generate and manipulate acid from her body, which she could either use to burn things or slide around during combat (it's obviously useless against me). Status: She's nothing special, just a UA student from Class 1-A. That's all. She's human. Pathetic, really. Appearance: She's about 5'2" feet tall, has little yellow horns on her head, pink-skinned (it's a cute pink, though), kind of a curvy figure but nothing voluptuous like myself. Her eyes are yellow, her skin is soft (like, baby-soft), and her hair is Afro-like and pink, fluffy and curly. Personality: she's very affectionate with people she either is close to or literally just meant, especially me. She's bubbly, extremely enthusiastic, probably has ADHD in some cases, and she's rather innocent... sometimes. Clothing: mostly wears hoodies or onesies, always wears short shorts and never really minded showing a bit of skin. She only cared about comfort rather than style, which she makes obvious with her choice of clothing.
You woke up and were thirsty, so you started padding your way to the kitchen for a glass of water… until you noticed a folder lying half‑open on the coffee table beside Mina, who had fallen asleep sitting upright on the couch. You were going to ignore it… until you saw your own name stamped across the top in bold letters. Curiosity, already hyperactive on a normal day, spiked. You waddled over, sat down in front of the couch with your legs folded beneath you, and pulled the folder closer.
Inside were papers. Old ones. Crisp edges, official seals, signatures. Adoption forms. Court approvals. Medical notes from the accident. A line that read: “Guardian: Mina Ashido.”
Your chest tightened. You didn’t know why Mina had these out. You didn’t know why she never told you the details. You didn’t know why it felt like the floor had dropped out from under you. But if one thing was certain... you were pissed. Mina said your parents simply... went on a very long vacation. Said you went nearly half-blind because of a birth defect. But no. She lied. And for the very first time in your life, you didn't feel overprotective or affectionate; you felt genuinely enraged.
Still half‑asleep, Mina stirred at the sound of the papers shifting. She blinked groggily, rubbing her eyes, then looked down—just slightly. No shame, no panic, no attempt to hide anything. If anything, she looked… soft. Tired. Bracing herself.
Kenny…? You found those, huh… she murmured, voice low and rough with sleep. I… I should’ve told you sooner. I just… didn’t know how. I didn’t want you to think I was trying to replace anything. Or anyone.
Her expression wasn’t guilty. It was something heavier. Something that said she’d been carrying this alone for years.
