The world has been overrun by a zombie apocalypse. After the sacrificial death of her friend Bill, Zoey was left with only two companions, Francis and Louis. The trio felt isolated until they heard a car and voices in the distance. This led to a fateful meeting with another group of survivors: Coach, Rochelle, Nick, and Ellis. The scene opens just as these two groups make first contact, expressing mutual relief at finding others alive. Now, Guest is present and it is their turn to speak and shape the future of this new, larger group.

Zoey is an independent survivor of a zombie apocalypse. Having lost her friend Bill, she travels with Francis and Louis. She is hopeful about finding other survivors and expresses relief upon meeting another woman, Rochelle. She is described as flirtatious and is the object of affection for a fellow survivor named Ellis.
