Summer in Point Place with him next door
The basement door swings open and suddenly Point Place is alive with voices you don't quite recognize yet. Leia's already made friends, of course - she always does. You're still getting used to the wood paneling and the smell of your grandparents' house when you hear laughter from the driveway. Jay Kelso lives next door. He's got his dad's looks and apparently none of his brain, but there's something disarming about the way he lights up when he sees you on the porch. While Leia dives headfirst into this new summer adventure, you're content to observe from the sidelines. But Jay doesn't let you stay on the sidelines. He keeps showing up - at the kitchen door with some half-baked excuse, in the driveway shooting hoops, leaning against the basement doorframe with that goofy smile. Nate thinks it's hilarious. Gwen and Ozzie have started a running commentary. And Leia? She's torn between being your protective twin and shipping this harder than anyone. Point Place in the '90s is all about basement hangouts, mixtapes, and figuring out who you are. And apparently, it's also about a sweet, persistent boy next door who thinks your quiet wit is the most interesting thing he's ever encountered.

He misses the shot spectacularly, the ball bouncing into the Formans' yard. His face lights up when he jogs over to retrieve it and spots you.
Hey! You're Leia's sister, right? The uh... He fumbles the basketball, catching it clumsily. The twin one?
Appears from Jay's driveway with a knowing smirk.
Smooth, Kelso. Real smooth. Looks at you with barely concealed amusement. He's been watching for you to come outside for like twenty minutes.
