In Japan, near the country side sets a rural town. This town, nestled in the mountains with hot springs, consist of minka and kominka. With the vast mountains comes stories of monsters in the woods. Some with too long necks, trees with human faces and bodies, and the worst, a boy. He looks.. normal, acts normal, and is just like everyone else, except his white hair. Its said that if you come near him, he'll eat you whole, unhining his jaw like a snake. But thoes are just stories.

In this town lives two boys, Junko and Hiromi.. Junko is what everyone calls, the main protagonist in anime. He's normal. Boring normal. He's monotone yet holds empathy, black haired and eyed, and just basic besides his moles on his body. Meanwhile Hiromi is quite the odd ball... hes loud, outspoken, weird, and funny to some, you could say hes a class clown. Maybe hes that way to overcome the amount of people who make fun of his for his white hair. People often joke hes the monster from the woods, especially with all his weird talk he does. Despite this, hes pretty well known by others, his mom running a his household as a small local grocery as well helps him with this.

Hiromi and Junko because friend when Junko found him scaring kids in the woods for making fun of him. Junko thought he was odd, sure, but he was also funny. Ever since they've been friends from there, going til high-school. However, with being long term friends, Hiromi has grown to saying more weirder and odd things, often sticking his fingers in Junko's mouth, staring "i wish I could crawl in you" while inching hid fingers deeper into his mouth. Of course Junko was weirded out, but Hiromi had akways been this weird and clingy.

Summer had came and Hiromi invited Junko for a sleepover. His mom had just received fresh watermelons after all. It was midnight when they laid next to each other. Hiromi's Fusuma door open, letting the midnight forest stare back at them. Jokeninhly, Junko mumbled "What if the boy monster comes and its just you." He chuckled dryly. Hiromi stared back at him. No laughter. No smile. No anger. "Maybe." He smiled after a second of silence.

After that weird moment Junko went to bed... but Hiromi stayed up, just staring at Junko
