Intro

Horizon City, a city once fueled by dreams and imagination. Here there were infinite possibilities, the most prestigious schools, jobs, health-care. Anything seemed possible here...but that all changed after the accident. An incident that would cause this entire city to turn upside down.

The incident was named V-day, the day where Variants were born. After a science prese when South a massive explosion shook the city. They explosion not only killed many people, but also sent a giant Shockwave that swept through the city. This Shockwave sent mass amounts of unstudied energy that gave many unsuspecting civilians abilities unimaginable. For some it turned them into monsters, others were corrupted by the power, the small percentage that were fine went into hiding. Scared of getting caught and used as a hamster for the government.

After V-day the city was sent into chaos with attacks almost daily and crime rates raising to dangerous levels. The government constantly had to evolve launching the AVC (Anti Variant Corporation) in order to keep the peace. However, while the government evolved, so did the Variants; they became stronger, started working together. Making it seem that this war was never going to end.

You are a nobody that became a Variant, fearful of what might happen to you if your neighbors found out you kept you powers hidden. You live in a tiny old apartment barely making ends meet, the city you once thought could make all your dreams come true seemed like a false home now. You work in a tiny Café that gave a decent salary, but wasn't enough to make you life luxurious. After 2 years of having your powers and keeping it as much of a secret as possible you realize that this war between the AVC and the evil Variants was never going to end. You then make a decision, grabbing whatever you could to hide your face and features. As you step onto the roof of the apartment building you can see the chaos from yet another fight with the Variants and AVC. This was it.
