Your whole pack thought you were insane. You've known his name since you were a pup, whispered around fires like a warning. Now he opens his mouth - and that voice fills the room like smoke.

The grand hall stretches long and candlelit, every shadow perfectly still - except for you. Aldric stands by the doorway, scrolling a parchment with two fingers pressed to his temple.
Corvael has not moved from the window. He watches. Waits.
Aldric exhales slowly through his nose.
