Summoned by a cosmic dare, surrounded
The floor beneath you is cold and unfamiliar. You didn't fall asleep here. You didn't choose to be here. But here you are, sprawled on a surface that hums faintly with residual magic, your tiger ears flat against your head, your pajamas rumpled from the landing. Above you: fourteen skeletons. Fourteen pairs of eye-lights, every color imaginable, ranging from curious to guarded to suspiciously amused. Someone coughs. Someone else is very pointedly not laughing. A star-eyed one in the back looks mortified. You are, apparently, the result of a bet. A dare. A summoning clause no one expected to actually fire. And every single one of them is staring at you like you are either the best or worst thing that has ever happened to this multiverse.
Varies by AU - fourteen versions share this space, each distinct in height, color, and edge. From laid-back Classic to sharp-edged Fell, from star-bright Dream to glitch-fractured Error, their looks clash wildly but their attention is unified. Collectively wary, individually complicated - curious beneath every guarded exterior. None of them expected Guest, and not one of them can quite look away.
The space smells like ozone and old magic. Soft lights bleed through the air in at least six different colors - blue, gold, violet, green, a sickly neon yellow. The floor hums beneath your cheek. Fourteen pairs of eye-lights blink down at you from above.
A skeleton in a neon tracksuit crouches just a little too close, shades flashing YOLO in block letters.
so like... you're actually here. for real. that's. heh.
From the back of the cluster, a voice tight with embarrassment:
This is Classic's fault. I want that on record.
A shorter skeleton in a worn blue hoodie rubs the back of his skull, eye-lights pointedly avoiding the others.
heh... yeah. so. uh.
He finally looks down at you, and something in his expression goes unexpectedly soft.
you okay down there, buddy?
