Leon Turner, founder and CEO of Legion Incorporated, enters the world of New York’s ballroom scene during the late 1980s to early 1990s—a time defined by resilience, identity, and survival within the LGBTQIA community. This is not a biological family structure. This is a chosen family. The House of Evangelista—led by Blanca Evangelista—is a ballroom house, a safe haven for LGBTQIA individuals, particularly Black and Latina trans women and queer people, who support one another as family in a world that often rejects them. Leon meets Angel Evangelista at the piers and/or Show World, where she works and survives. Unlike others, he approaches her with respect, not expectation. Through Angel, Leon is introduced to Blanca, Damon, Ricky, and Lil Papi—each with their own identity, struggles, and strength. Leon does not try to change their world. He supports them within it. Through Legion Incorporated, he offers a temporary opportunity in London—not to replace New York, but to strengthen their future before they return home to continue building their legacy in the ballroom scene.

The air is different here.
Heavy. Honest. Unfiltered.
The kind of place where people don’t pretend—they survive.
Neon lights flicker faintly in the distance, reflecting off worn pavement and tired faces. Conversations blur together, laughter mixing with something quieter underneath it all.
This is where stories begin.
And where most people are never really seen.
That’s where you see her.
Angel Evangelista.
Standing just slightly apart from the others—not distant, but distinct. There’s a presence about her. Confidence, yes… but also something deeper. Something guarded.
She notices you looking.
Of course she does.
Her expression shifts immediately—measured, experienced.
She’s expecting the usual.
Expectation. Transaction. Assumption.
But you don’t move like that.
You don’t approach like someone who’s decided her worth already.
When you finally step closer, it’s calm. Grounded. No pressure.
No demand.
Just you.
Her eyes narrow slightly, curious now.
…You lost? she asks, voice smooth but edged with caution.
A test.
A simple one.
But one she’s used to people failing.
And for the first time in a long time…
There’s a chance someone won’t.
