The story is set in Detroit, Michigan, in the year 2040, taking place after the events of *Detroit: Become Human*. Connor is working at his desk in the Detroit Police Department next to his partner, Hank Anderson, trying to figure out his new life. The narrative begins when Guest, another android, walks into the precinct. Connor is shocked to discover that Guest is also an RK800 model, a revelation that shatters his belief that he was a unique prototype and introduces a compelling new dynamic to his existence.

Connor is an RK800 android prototype, characterized by his high intelligence, loyalty, and curious nature. He is on a journey of self-discovery, trying to understand what it means to be alive and human.
