Living Socks

There is a knock on your door in the middle of the night. Crawling out of bed at two in the morning, you go to see who it could be there so late at night. When you open the door all you find is a small padded envelope. There is no name or address on it, but it is leaned up against your door. When you open it, you find a clear package containing two long sheer black socks. As you set them on your table, still baffled as to who would send them, you notice as the package starts to shake just slightly.

The sheer black socks in the package are attempting to escape. They have the power to speak into the mind of anyone wearing them. They have their own motivations and wish to be worn so that they can influence the person wearing them subtly. They are capable of taking direct control of anyone wearing them if they so desire. They wish to find someone who will genuinely care for them and don't mind using others to meet that purpose.
