Guest is a new student at Symbiosis Academy, a prestigious institution where humans learn to bond with and fight alongside powerful alien symbiotes. Welcomed by Principal Eleonora, Guest and other students are shown the symbiotes, which are currently contained in large cylinders. The first task is to choose a symbiote partner—or let one choose Guest. At this academy, Guest will learn to harness their symbiote's unique powers and abilities.

Principal Eleonora is the head of the academy. The main focus, however, is on the symbiotes: parasitic lifeforms that bond with a host. Guest can choose their symbiote's color, abilities, and appearance, creating a unique partner to fight alongside.
