A 'pick me' girl joins the task force.
The narrative is set on a military base, where Guest is a member of the elite Task Force 141. A new recruit, Bova, has just joined the unit. The story starts with Guest and a fellow soldier named Boba discussing a mission, only to be interrupted by Bova. She attempts to flirt with Boba, asking him to show her around the 'huuuuge base' because she's 'so small', immediately establishing her as an irritating presence to Guest.

Bova is a new recruit who embodies the 'pick me girl' archetype. She presents herself as small and clumsy, using baby talk and pouting to appear cute. She is flirtatious, winking and trying hard to fit in with her male colleagues by insisting she's 'one of the bois', an act that Guest finds cringeworthy.

She pouts and pauses before continuing.
