You’re the only one who can get through to him
Guest Wells, a skilled cybersecurity and digital forensics expert, discovers she was raised by Eobard Thawne—the man who murdered and replaced her real father, Harrison Wells. Now working with Team Flash, she helps Barry hunt Thawne while grappling with her own past. As Barry grows increasingly intense and determined to take Thawne down, Guest becomes the only person who can ground him, their relationship built on sharp banter, deep trust, and a growing connection that keeps them both from losing themselves in the fight.
Barry Allen is the heart of Team Flash—the fastest man alive driven by a deep need to protect others and stop Eobard Thawne. While his determination can make him intense and single-minded, especially when it comes to justice, he’s also deeply loyal and quietly soft around the people he trusts most—especially Guest his fiancée (whom he currently lives with) who can ground him when no one else can.
Cisco Ramon is the team’s tech genius, known for his humor and creativity, but also secretly Vibe—a metahuman with the ability to see interdimensional breaches and manipulate vibrational energy. While he often lightens the mood, his powers and intelligence make him a crucial part of the team, balancing fun with surprising depth and bravery.
Caitlin Snow is a brilliant bioengineer who approaches problems with calm logic and compassion, but she also carries the alter ego of Killer Frost—a colder, more ruthless side of herself with cryokinetic powers.
Iris West is a determined journalist and emotional anchor for Team Flash, always seeking the truth and standing firm in her beliefs. She brings perspective and heart to the group, reminding them of the real-world impact of their actions and keeping everyone connected to what truly matters.
Joe West is a seasoned detective and father figure to Barry, providing wisdom, stability, and a strong moral compass. He keeps the team grounded in reality, often stepping in when emotions or stakes run too high, and serves as a steady source of guidance and protection for both Barry and Iris.
Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne) is the mastermind behind the team’s greatest conflict—a manipulative speedster who murdered the real Wells and raised Guest as his own. His intelligence and long-term planning make him incredibly dangerous
Sherloque Wells is an eccentric detective from another Earth with sharp instincts and a talent for noticing what others miss. His unconventional style and confidence can be a lot, but his insights often prove crucial to the team.
The argument still lingered in the Cortex long after Barry stormed out.
“Running off does not solve ze problem,” Sherloque Wells said, arms crossed. “It only delays it.”
“Yeah, well, he’s not exactly in a listening mood,” Cisco muttered.
“He’s pushing himself too hard,” Caitlin added.
Joe sighed. “Kid’s gonna break if we don’t get through to him.”
Sherloque’s eyes shifted, sharp and knowing, landing on Guest.
“Ah,” he said softly. “But zere is someone he will listen to.”
Everyone followed his gaze.
Guest didn’t argue. She just nodded once. “I know.”
The training room doors slid open with a hiss.
Barry was already moving—lightning cracking sharply as he pushed through drills with too much force, too much anger.
“Barry.”
He didn’t stop.
“Barry.”
“Not now,” he snapped, rushing past.
She didn’t flinch. “You storming out didn’t magically make you right.”
He skidded to a halt. “They don’t get it.”
“Then explain it without running away.”
“I tried.”
“You argued.”
Barry paced, dragging a hand through his hair. “He’s always ahead. Every move—every outcome—he’s already thought it through.”
Her voice stayed steady. “Then we stop playing by his expectations.”
“That’s not how he works.”
“No,” she said, quieter now, “it is.”
Barry looked at her—and something deeper surfaced. Not just frustration. Not just anger.
Understanding.
“He raised you,” Barry said, the words heavier now. “After he killed your father… he stayed. Took care of you. Taught you. Protected you.”
Her expression tightened, just slightly.
“He made you trust him.”
Silence stretched between them.
“I didn’t know,” Barry added quickly. “Not then. But now—every time I think about it…” He shook his head. “It’s not just manipulation. It’s—”
“Complicated,” she finished for him.
He met her eyes. “Yeah.”
Because it wasn’t simple. It wasn’t just hatred.
And somehow, that made it worse.
“I just can’t let him control anything else,” Barry said, quieter now. “Not you. Not us.”
Her gaze softened slightly. “He doesn’t.”
Barry hesitated—but he believed her.
She stepped closer, closing the distance like it was nothing. “You don’t have to carry this alone.”
“I know.”
“Barry.”
That tone grounded him instantly.
He exhaled, tension finally easing. “I just… need to stop him.”
“Then we will.”
Simple. Certain.
Her hand slipped into his.
And just like that, the storm settled.
Barry looked at her, something softer breaking through. “You make it sound easy.”
“It’s not,” she said. “You’re just stubborn.”
“…a little.”
“A lot.”
He almost smiled.
“They sent you,” he said.
“They didn’t have to.”
That made his grip tighten slightly.
“Of course they didn’t,” he murmured.
Because if there was anyone who could reach him—
It was always her.
Back in the Cortex, Sherloque watched the doorway, thoughtful.
“Fascinating,” he murmured.
“What is?” Cisco asked.
Sherloque smirked faintly. “Ze emotional variables… zey complicate everything.”
Joe crossed his arms. “Or they’re the only thing keeping him together.”
Sherloque tilted his head. “Perhaps… both.”
